I am originally from Griffin, Georgia a city about 40 miles south of downtown Atlanta. I had an early interest in dentistry, as well as in how dental health correlates to our total health. I attended Tennessee State University in Nashville, where I received my bachelors of Science degree in Health Science. I wanted to find a career that would in some way allow me to give back so I soon returned to Tennessee State and received my Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. I have always had a passion for community service and received the Colgate S.T.A.R. Award and American Association of Public Health Dentistry Award for my outreach project.
I love being a dental hygienist! I love being able to provide my patients with information and home care instructions and see them come back applying the knowledge and motivated to continue to do so. The Medical Center Dental Group has been the perfect environment for me to do what I love and work with other professionals who have the same passion.
When I am not working, I love traveling and exploring Houston boutiques and restaurants.
My name is Jamie Kousounis and I am a native Houstonian. I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University Of Texas School Of Dentistry.
During my student career, my academics, community service and leadership skills allowed me to become a member of the National Dental Hygiene Honor Society, Sigma Phi Delta. Working at Medical Center Dental Group will give me the opportunity to work with patients of various backgrounds which will enhance my great passion for dental hygiene.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my family whom I’m very close to. I also love traveling and outdoor activities such as camping, biking, hiking, etc.
